With the help of professional clinicians such as yourself, The Bowen Young Musicians Festival can meet its primary purpose – offering a high-quality musical growth experience in the comfort of small-town friendliness.
Festival Clinicians perform all or some of the following duties, depending on the division:
An exciting competition focused on personal musical enrichment & growth.
The Bowen Young Musicians Festival annually serves 100 – 150 participants, from elementary-aged students through adults.
Most entrants choose to participate in the festival competition, which awards place ribbons in each bracket & cash prizes for division winners, based on scores. Personal achievement is recognized at the highest level with Superior rank pins.
The recommendation to play at the Honors Concert is an honor not tied to scores.
One or two workshops will be presented by each clinician. Workshops need to be aimed at different age groups, or occasionally they can apply universally to all ages.
Workshop topics, titles, and descriptions are to be developed by the clinician. Past workshop ideas are given below to show an example of the variety and scope that is possible.
We like ideas that are out of the box, but traditional ideas are also welcome. Feel free to include some of your own performance in workshops.
