“Writing is the Painting of the Voice” (Voltaire). Learn how creative writing can inform/influence art and vice versa. This class explores the connections that weave between and bind together the creative disciplines of writing & painting.
Students will bring a rough draft of a story, poem, drawing, or painting. We will learn techniques to hone and refine these drafts, and then learn how to extract words, expressions, emotions, images, colors, and feelings from this piece into another form of art – turning a story or poem into a painting or a painting into a piece of creative writing.
