The infectious rhythms & exciting musical improvisations of Jazz are one of America’s greatest cultural exports! In Jazz Band, we explore the creative & musically syncretic techniques that created Jazz. In so doing, we become a part of Jazz’s storied history, while simultaneously creating new music for the ever-evolving present.
Students will collaborate and rehearse to prepare 1 to 2 pieces in various jazz styles for a performance at the Gala concert.
