A “hidden gem” of the west, The University of Wyoming Singing Statesmen is a 72-voice non-auditioned male choir representing a wide variety of backgrounds and academic disciplines. The men are brought together by the distinct brotherhood and camaraderie of male ensemble singing.
With Dr. Nicole Lamartine’s leadership, The UW Singing Statesmen have enjoyed prestigious invitations to the Wyoming Music Educators conference and for collaborations with Wyoming’s own Bar-J Wranglers and the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra. The men highlight creative programming, premieres, vocal technique, and major works through traditional to non-western male chorus repertoire.
The ensemble regularly tours the state and region promoting the rich tradition of male singing through school clinics and collaborations. The UW Singing Statesmen represent the pride of the University of Wyoming Cowboys.
